Privacy Policy for PlotMe

PlotMe ("we," "us," or "our"), operated by MindMap Ventures LLC, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the PlotMe mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

We believe in a "Privacy First" design. The amount of data we collect depends on your account type:

Guest Mode: We do not collect any personal identity information. Your tracking data is stored locally on your device only.
Free & Pro Accounts: To provide account synchronization and features, we collect:
- Authentication Data: Email address and login credentials (managed via Supabase).
- User-Generated Content: Any data you choose to input into trackers (e.g., nicknames, habits, notes). We do not require or suggest the use of full names for subjects you track.
- Media: With your permission, the app may access your Camera and Photos to allow you to attach images to tracker entries. These are stored locally unless you are a Pro user opting for cloud backup.
- Voice Data: If you use voice-to-text features, audio is processed into text. We do not store raw audio files on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the information collected to:

Provide and maintain the tracking services.
Sync data across your devices (for paid authenticated users that choose cloud backup).
Process subscriptions and "Pro" features.
Monitor app performance and fix crashes.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We partner with the following services to ensure app functionality:

Supabase: Provides our backend database and authentication.
Google Analytics for Firebase: We use anonymized analytics to understand how the app is used and to track crash data.
RevenueCat & Apple App Store: All financial transactions are processed by Apple. RevenueCat helps us manage your subscription status. We do not see or store your credit card information.

4. Data Storage and Security

Local First: By default, your tracking data lives on your device.
Cloud Backup (Pro Only): Pro users may choose to back up data to the cloud via Supabase. This data is encrypted and accessible only via your authenticated account.
Security: We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

You have full control over your data:

App Deletion: Deleting the app from your device removes all locally stored data.
Account Deletion: You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us. You can also delete your account by navigating to Account > Account & Security > Delete Account
Cancellation: If you cancel a Pro plan, your cloud-backed data is deleted from our servers after the subscription period ends and the account is closed.

When your account deletion request is completed, we permanently delete the following data associated with your PlotMe account:

Personal information (such as name, email address, and account identifiers)
Trackers, notes, reminders, and other user-generated content
AI interaction history and generated insights
Account settings and preferences

Certain limited data may be retained where necessary for legitimate purposes, including:

Transaction and subscription records (for billing, accounting, and fraud prevention)
Legal compliance data (if required by applicable law)
Temporary backup data stored in secure systems
Any retained data is stored only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described above and is typically deleted within 30–90 days following account deletion, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Account deletion requests are generally processed within 7–30 days. During this time, your account may be deactivated but still recoverable until deletion is finalized.

6. Children’s Privacy

PlotMe is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
